We usually ask customers to allow for a First Delivery waiting period of 1-3 months following the placing of a deposit. During the period between ordering and the First Delivery, either the customer or Suffolk will be preparing the chassis-related donor components for fitting to the new car. At the time of ordering, the customer will decide whether he wishes Suffolk to deliver all the new and reconditioned chassis-related items as part of the First Delivery.

Payment & Price List

An Initial Deposit of £2,500 is to be paid at time of ordering the chassis. This payment triggers the manufacturing of all parts required to build up the suspension, brakes,steering,fuel system, uprights and wheel hubs which will be sent with the First Delivery. The customer dictates the speed of assembly of the new car and can order all future batches of components to suit his timescale.
Payment for all parts is required either at time of manufacture or on delivery. Deferred payment or late payment is not acceptable. Invioces will be drawn up based on the batches of components ordered or ready for delivery.

Price List

Here is a list of the major specific cost items for building a Suffolk SS100. The prices shown are current 2006 but are subject to review. The price list does not comprise an offer or a quotation. Prices shown are applicable only for components ordered to fully construct a complete Suffolk SS100 Jaguar. All prices are ex works and subject to VAT (EU orders and deliveries only).

CHASSIS:
Fully jigged and MIG welded chassis unit in 100x50mm box section. Chassis includes all the pre-drilled fixing points for exhaust system, front suspension, wings stays, steering rack, brake and clutch pedals, servo brake and master cylinders, engine, gearbox, differential handbrake, braced scuttle hoop with steering column mounting, 10 body fixings, upper and lower differential mountings, rear suspension and tie bars, 3 point seat belt anchorages, fuel tank and fuel pump mountings, spare wheel carrier mounting plate. Also included in price is the radiator hoop, radiator mounting clips (2), dashboard straps (2) and front wing stays (2). £3980.00

BODY:
One - piece grey gelcoat GRP and steel structure, dimensionally identical to the original 1938 SS100. Finished bodywork assembly incorporates the front sub valance, front wings, bulkhead, scuttle and dashboard, battery box, lower hood, locker, and rear valance sections. Built into the rear bodywork is a substantial steel sub-frame that locates exactly (with 12 bolts) the body to the chassis. The steel sub-frame incorporates the inertia seat belt over shoulder mountings. The body is completely pre-drilled ready for accurate location of all instruments, switches, lights, windscreen, hood frame, fuel filler, etc. Both doors are steel framed internally and are works fitted to the body with brass hinges. Body mounting bolts, nuts and spacers all supplied. Two people can fit the body unit, as supplied, to the chassis in less than ten minutes. £4365.00

The range of parts listed above are dedicated to the production of the Suffolk SS100 Jaguar. In addition to the above list, a number of minor parts can be sourced from the donor Jaguar XJ6 (see separate list). The remainder of the parts and all fittings can be supplied by us, or purchased independently by the customer. We can supply all the parts required for the complete assembly of the car. Partial assembly of the chassis, painting, trimming and workshop services are also available. We can supply the Suffolk SS100 partially built and will be pleased to quote for specific requirements. The chassis, component packages, engine and bodywork are usually delivered by our own staff and transport. Smaller deliveries will be sent by carrier. The chassis and the main bodywork unit can be carried by two strong men. The engine requires an engine crane (£15.00 hire shop item). We can supply all parts for a Left Hand Drive car - please ask for details.
